any sane person would be able to say that the whole world is in a jam right now. like almost every single day news bout tragedies fill the news programs. the more discouraging bout all these stuff is that a lot of innocent people including children are having their lives wasted. i mean there are far more evil people there who deserve to die. (i'm not trying to sound preachy).
anyway, the most recent catastrophe that has struck human kind is the china earthquake. as of the latest reports, the death toll has reached 20,000. gosh!!! 20,000 unknowing individuals that the morning they went to work or school or wherever was going to be their last. just imagine that. below is a pic from reuters, click it to read the full story from yahoo.

of course, this event only testifies the great power our mother earth has. but what have we been doing since the last millenia? we have nowhere been to show any care for our home. global warming is just one of those warnings and wake-up call for everyone to start getting their act together. sooner or later we'll just find out that our iphones, ipods, laptops, cars, expensive clothes have no worth at all. so will mankind keep on playing deaf and blind? think...

people have always noticed that i do tend to be really really romantic to the point of being hopeless. i don't really know where that side of me comes from but i don't think it'll hurt someone to dream bout finding the "one". at this point though, i can't picture myself being with a person for such a long time and having to have a certain sense of commitment. i like making and keeping friends. it's nice to know you have people around you who'll have your back and share both tears and smiles with you.
anyway, back to the topic of love, i don't consider myself as one those types who would be allergic to love and commitment. i do plan to have one someday but i guess no human being would dream of getting hurt. not reprimand or make fun of people who cry because they broke up with someone, but, why waste your tears over someone who's not even half worthy of it? i'm becoming bitter, lol.
putting these aside, i have this list of my favorite romantic movies of all time. lol. well it's my personal picks so feel free to oppose or give any kind of comment. here we go...
no. 5 : my bestfriend's wedding (1997)

this movie depicts that classic situation wherein you think your ex is not over you yet and you bask in the thought that he/she will never get over you until one day he/she pops up and tells you he/she's inlove more than ever.so what would any sane person do? win him/her back. but of course, in the end, we'll all have to let go of people.
no. 4 music and lyrics (2006)

this is one of those movies that you either hate or love. i've read some reviews on it and gosh, a lot of people don't seem to appreciate it. it's okay i still love this movie because it combines the power of music with the power of love and how one influences the other. drew's character (sophie) is oh so cute in this movie too.
no. 3 the bodyguard (1992)

who could forget this movie? aside from the huge success that both the movie and its original soundtrack gained, who wouldn't fall in love when someone risks his own life for you right?
no. 2 notting hill (1999)

oooooohhhhh!!!! i don't think enough words are invented to describe this movie. flawless!!!
no. 1 titanic (1997)

the perfect recipe: an epic tragedy, a love triangle, man willing to die, woman won't let him, man still died. if you haven't seen this movie, you must have lived in another planet then.
and in celebration of love, here's one of my favorite love songs. please enjoy.

this is the first post i'll have for this blog. actually i still don't have a concrete idea as to the whole theme of my blog. i do have lots of interests and the two that are on the top of my list would be the culinary arts and music; which unfortunately i can't pursue because i have to stick to my responsibilities to my family. anyway, for starters, i want to share to everyone this song. hope you download it!!! it's sway by bic runga.
